Jonathan W. Lent is an experienced Boston Severance Lawyer, and is licensed to practice before the state and federal courts of Massachusetts. Jonathan is the owner of The Law Offices of Jonathan W. Lent and has represented clients in a variety of employment related matters, including severance disputes, wrongful termination, and non-compete cases. Jonathan has represented clients at arbitration and mediation, before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and has appeared pro hac vice in numerous courts throughout the United States.
Prior to his current role, Jonathan worked for more than a decade at large, nationally recognized Boston law firms where he gained extensive experience in all phases of litigation, risk assessment, and settlement negotiations. Jonathan also has appeared before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
Jonathan graduated from Hamilton College, and earned his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law. While at Northeastern, Jonathan worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Barbara A. Lenk, Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court (now Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court).
Jonathan holds a strong commitment to the exercise of the highest ethical and professional standards. He also believes in the importance of pro bono work. Included among his pro bono accomplishments is a victory before the Boston Immigration Court where he obtained political asylum on behalf of his client.
